Body Like Water: Backyard Watershed

Today, only 3% of Arizona’s surface water is left compared to what was there in 1900.

From the Kachina Peaks to the Sonoran Desert, these waterways connect landscapes, ecosystems and people. Travel hundreds of miles of creeks and drainages, learn and share in the stories that are quickly being lost…

“… I am left with desperate feelings of ‘I have to at least do something.’ All I can think to do is witness and document and run myself into the dirt. All these rivers and creeks have stories to tell. Lots of running to be done, I better do it before my legs give out.”

This first short film is finished and been accepted to The Southern Arizona Independent Film Festival that is being held on April 5, 6 of 2024
